Description
The Chase Tactical JOEY utility Pouch GEN2 is a multi functional general purpose pouch that provides load carriage and storage for mission specific gear. With direct input from Military & LEO professionals, we have created a lightweight durable and flexible utility pouch that hangs under the front flap of most plate carriers and attaches quickly and securely via hook and loop. The JOEY features two alternating zipper pockets on the front and one zipper pocket on the rear. The larger and main compartment is designed for storage and perfect for multitools, knives, first aid supplies or any other mission specific gear. The smaller pocket is good for storage of smaller items such as flashlights, batteries, etc.
On the underside there are 2 elastic loops for chem lights and or markers. The JOEY Pouch can also be used as an armor add-on for lower abdomen protection, we have included a rear pocket which allows for the Chase Tactical JOEY Pouch Soft Armor Insert Level IIIA to be added. The front of the Joey utility Pouch has 3 rows, each comprising 4 loops of MOLLE webbing with hook & loop sewn on. This allows the attachment of other small pouches and or call sign and insignia patches.

Bought this to replace my Haley Strategic hanger pouch for use as an ifak. Love Haley products, but this pouch is far better. It’s wider, but sits flatter and does not bulge outward. The wider profile gives added protection when you add the armor insert (which fits perfectly in its dedicated, zippered pocket on the rear). It can be worn high up toward plate carrier so plate and Joey pouch armor overlap while allowing full access to pockets, since zippers are situated in the front. Two zippered pockets, one bigger that the other are great for organization. Larger pocket easily holds full ifak plus cat tq. My only minor complaint would be higher quality zipper pulls, and since many people will use as ifak pouch, it would be nice to throw in a couple red zipper pulls for easy Identification given the price of pouch plus armor insert (Maxpedition AGR are great). I’ll buy separately. Materials of pouch feel high quality.

This pouch fit all the needs I was looking for in a utility pouch. Only thing I would change would be adding a grommet at the bottom for drainage but that’s just my personal preference. 10/10 quality and construction. Has a pocket on the back that I plan on getting the soft armor insert for as well.

So this pouch is something else to brag about. It’s really well made and functional. I love the fact that it will accept a soft plate (I did not order one yet, but probably will. I just love the fact that they gave it that option.) I’ve used it a few times now and I’m very happy with it. I was afraid that it may get in the way of drawing pistol mags off of my belt, but it doesn’t. I was also afraid that it would make sitting or otherwise bending over at the waist cumbersome, but it does not. I’ve used it for three training sessions (about 25 hours total) so far and I really don’t even notice that it’s there. I like the large velcro field on the front and the little elastic tunnels at the bottom are great for chem lights, needle D kit, or Sharpies. I use the large main compartment for medical supplies and the smaller pocket for batteries, tape, etc. 100% satisfied with this product!
